You can purchase car hire excess insurance from worldwideinsure dot com for UK or EU residents, it's approx. £2 per day or £45 for a years cover. NOT valid in your country of residence.

I have used them for a few years & had to make a claim once with no problem.

Iberdrola cheaper! I wouldn't like to use a more expensive supplier. We just got a bill for 1008 E for electricity for August & September which was on top of the last bill for over 600 E. This is a large villa we rent out as holiday lets, so obviously the A/C (& most of the electrical appliances as well) must have been running 24/7.

We will have to look into a better tariff or A/C cut out system or pre-paid meter or solar power.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

We had the same thing, the bank insisted that we took at least 50% of life assurance with them - it was one of the terms of the mortgage. We were advised that after the 1st year we would be able to cancel it & get it elsewhere for almost half price!!

Unfortunately the bank then offered a "discounted" interest rate if life assurance was taken, meaning it was pointless moving. Its a scam, I don't know how they get away with it, oh yes I do, its Spain!
