From Angloinfo Costa Blanca's page Working in Spain

"Work Permit

EU and EEA citizens are exempt from requirements concerning visas, passports and medical checks when entering another EU Member State. An identity card allows the holder to enter freely and to move around for three months, which is useful if you find temporary work or are seeking employment.

EU and EEA citizens do not need a work permit.

They may exercise the occupational activity of their choice. However, as soon as they have found work and no later than three months after arriving, they must apply for a "residence permit for a national of an EU Member State".

It is valid for five years and automatically renewable."

The angloinfo website explains the situation of driving a foreign registered car on other insurance, however insurance is valid if the Spanish company is a UK insurer...

"Insuring an EU Registered Car in Spain

If the car spends over six months of the year in an EU country other than Spain it is necessary to take out a European insurance policy with the home insurer. EU regulations mean that all vehicles must be insured in the country in which they are registered. Therefore if the car is (for example) UK-registered it cannot be insured with a Spanish company. The vehicle can, however, be insured with a British insurer in Spain, by using the Spanish branch of a UK insurance company."

The system used on angloinfo would be a good template as they provide a free event listing system and a search by activity, date and town - if you go to any of their sites and have a look under "What's On" you can see how their guide works
