05/03/2013 17:47:00:our gas water heater is outside in the back yard open to all the elements with only a upvc canopy over the vent and has been there for 4 years now. it takes a bit of starting after a few months of being away but we just blow the dust out of it really hard and off it goes. i prefer it outside for safety reasons and the whole of our development in Almeria is the same.

09/02/2013 18:25:00:we went to cartagena for the first time last september from our house in almeria about an hour away, we went for the romans and carthaganians annual festival and even though it was cancelled and completely washed out with the floods we had a brilliant time. we stayed for one night in the NH cartagena which is right on the port, the first day it lashed it down so we went in all the exhibitions and museums which were all along the port, some free, and most were reduced because of the rain!!. then we went in one of the local tapas bars which was a great experience whatching the pace of the waiters. the roman theatre is right by the hotel that was good. the shops are all in one area and the town centre is beautiful, the tourist info building is a tourist attraction in itself. at night the city is beautiful and all the restuarants and bars are good. the next day the sun came back so we walked for miles, visiting the roman encampment and the submarine museum. we loved the city so much we are going again this september to try and see the romans again.

12/10/2012 20:59:00:we chose our holiday home in spain, hopefully to retire to in the next ten years because it is only 2 and a half hours away from our familly and freinds so its like hopping on a bus to us, the fantastic weather in Almeria in the winter just came back and last week it was 32 most days, the majority of the people are lovely, there is no traffic on the roads and a lot less people about everywhere you go, and the food is great!.

23/05/2012 22:34:00:we celebrated our silver wedding there last june. i emailed them from England for a booking and it was on a tuesday, they normally shut on a tuesday they told me but would open up for us and take other bookings! we were amazed as to how flexible they were. we took our freinds with us and there were a few more people too, we were allowed to sit anywhere we felt comfortable and sat in the conservatory area with all the windows and doors open getting a lovey sea breeze. the food was faboulos we couldnt fault it, and the service was second to non. all in all the evening was perfect.
