Hi Susan,
I completed on Thursday last week. I have it in writing that they are going to change my fence so the garden is secure. I'm sure a slight bit of pressure will get you the same thing.
The lights down to the car park are not great. In fact the car park is a bit of a nightmare. It is very tight and a real pain to manoeuvre around. I have been around the past couple of weeks down there and so spent plenty of time on site. As is the Spanish way there was a power cut as I was on my way down to the car park. Some emergency lights were on but not enough and I had to use my mobile phone as a torch. The next problem is that the entry gate is out of action during a power cut and so I got stuck in the car park for around ½ hour. Finally on the car park, the entrance in to it, is in reverse to the road. What I mean by that is as you drive into the site the entrance is angled back towards you and so you have to swing right out to be able to get in to start with. Also they have not put any lower edging to the curb at the entrance so prepare for a bump!!

I still think on the whole the site is fine, there are certain things that they clearly have not thought through properly but seem open minded when you tell them the error of their ways.
Another thing I did down there was walk the golf course, its starting to look pretty good with a particularly tricky 7th. Its available to play right now for free. The club house is around 3 weeks away (that’s 3 Spanish weeks !!, so you need to add the same again in months) and then I believe it will be 15 euro a round if you don’t buy the annual pass.

If anyone has any questions from my trip, please let me know.
Steve

Hi, yes the licence was in a couple of weeks back. We are expecting to complete in the next couple of weeks. Although I am now dragging my heals as the grounds are not up to scratch yet.

I'm on the ground floor in block 1. No problem with the car park, but I have a major concern with the open fence that surrounds our garden as its quite a drop of the end and there is nothing to stop kids having a climb or crawling through. It would never pass health and safety over here..

Hello again, I spent a few hours at Casares yesterday (16 July 07) Its coming along nicely and the communal areas are starting to improve. The pool is very small and disappointing and will be far too small to cope with a busy summer.

On the plus side, the habitation licence should be in place later this week and my valuation has been done. On a 2 bed ground floor with garden we saw a value increase of around 70,000 euro. Hopefully that should make everyone feel a little happier. Ok its just on paper, but in the current climate it’s a reassuring valuation.
The golf course is looking smart although the club house is still out of action.

I’ve posted a couple of pics on the site for everyone to see.

Cheers..

Sorry.... by next weekend I mean 14 July.

Also on previous post, I don't think you have been taken for a ride. This complex in 5 years will be amazing. The biggest problem we all have right now is all the developers in Spain building so many properties. If you want to sell on, the market is dead, if you want to rent then competition is high..

Cheers..

Hi,

I'm off down there next weekend. I have bought on phase 1 block 1. We are currently going for valuation (which should be interesting!) I'll let you all know how that goes. I'll try and post a few pics as well when I get back.

If anyone is interested in renting their apartment on Casares G&C then I can help, also with the day to day management. See my website at www.costa-del-hols.com for more info. I'm not a big agent I only rent apartments where I own myself, so I can sell the property to the people looking to rent.

Cheers..
