U have probably guessed that on specific legal matters people on forums are reluctant to answer, U may get a pm

The complex rules etc mean that even two diferent accountants will give u two different answers let alone us mortals although some of the advice i have seen on forums is better than that from the so called prof's!.

For what its worth i think if you qualify to not pay tax in the UK then as I believe your worldwide assets / profits are taxable in Spain but the British tax office will try and have a slice first.     If u have had rental income etc and the UK tax office know about it I would ask the UK tax in writing and then declare in Spain once I see there answer as the world is becoming a smaller place thats for sure.

It may be easier for people to reply if you say what sort of specific advice you want about the industry?  working hours, conditions, social groups etc

I worked with an insurer for a time who kept mainly English working hours, the admin staff dont get rich and once you travel and pay rent etc there wont be much left assuming you work in Gib and live in Spain. The gaming industry works 24 / 7 so you may  work early / late shifts and even weekends.

There are several good agency's some of which are on skype and are very helpful so they may be  your best place to get your answers.. Jobs in the sectors you mention are plentiful. Basic Spanish for me is essential    A word of warning in that many wont take you too seriously or give you an interview however until you are based there and ready for work. Its a little chicken and egg for many.

From what I saw its not a student / temp type environment like Aus but really just England in the Sun which when your working indoors is worse for me but at least when you finish and go home you can still eat outside and actually plan to do things outside at the weekend.

For me I would get on easyjet for a few days, meet some people and go for it !

I dont know if it matters in Spain but in France we discovered for instance if you did this and had a problem then your home insurance is not valid.

I know that Spain is a little more relaxed thankfully but having tried to get paid out from a Spanish insurer once for a fire not caused by us it still took them 2 years and they wriggled like a snake! just worth considering or checking your wordings. I agree that the UK socket/plugs are much better but we are not in the UK.

I have seen the "tempoary" travel adapters after a long spell and they are not great so anything will be better.

I used the company below many years ago loads of times

http://whitecarhire.com/

Not the absolute cheapest but the service was brilliant as it was a brother and sister team. All i can remember sadly was that the Brother was killed in a car accident but the sister "Patricia" ? continued but soon after we bought our own car.

May be worth a try if you want that personal service. She speaks English

Do they no longer refund you if you take it back full?

I prefer it "Full" as otherwise we always got a car that was running on fumes and had to stop at the closest garage.

We used a couple last year so will pul out my reciepts later to check.

We have used Holiday Autos and I think malagacar.com?

I dont know what the rates are like but brunoscar.com offer a "same" policy on fuel.
