We dealt with Paul in Dfs San Javier having read comments on this forum. We bought a shower screen for mar menor apts. The fitter came and went, all was well. On our last visit we heard a really loud crashing sound at about 2am and found that the glass in the screen had shattered.

We went to see Paul at Dfs who said he would get another door for us and do the best he could for us.

On monday by arrangment Mark the new fitter came, supplied and fitted the new door free of charge.

This was above and beyond the call, very much appreciated.

Hi all,

Just been informed in the mar menor golf shop that we cannot renew our annual memberships this week because IRM has decided that there will no longer be a membersip category. The reason is they feel that they are not making enough money out of memberships and that they will make more out of charging people 50 euro green fees instead.

Its a remarkable train of thought in a business term to turn away 2000 Euro up front and snub two members in the misguided belief that they will then pay 50 euro each per round of golf. Here's one who will not pay it we will take our business elsewhere.

This is no reflection on the staff at mar menor whom we have always found to be most polite and helpful, however this latest move from a company trying to sell properties on a golf resort whilst at the same time removing access to membership on that course is bizaar.

If you are contemplating buying property on Mar Menor, Condado or La Terraza to play golf, think again.

Does anybody have an idea of completion dates for apts mar menor. we have apt 5932 and at this stage would like to get it before we turn back to dust, getting really peed off at this stage, paid our first deposit in april 2006. HELP

Hola, just spent a week over on mar menor resort in a house backing on to mm2. All Apartments and villas appear to be structurally completed, lots of work  going on from 7.30 am to 7.30pm. all seems to be external plastering and painting, they were laying the top surface on the roads and marked out parking spaces this week also. Polaris world say all should be complete by first half of this year. Have a few photos will try to load them.

A word of warning be sure to get your property snagging done thoroughly as they will wash their hands once deal is done. Heard a few stories of damage caused to underground  plumbing on phase 1 due to drilling etc on phase 2 P W dont want to know.

Just home after a trip to find out whats going on. Polaris world have individual mortgages on each property with 6 different banks, so different banks funding different apts. At the moment the Bank of Spain has interest rates at 4.35% it only reviews rates twice yearly. Cam bank which is on site charge 1.25 or 1.35 % on top of that rate. A lot better value to be found at home. Ian
