Bonjour EOS Member
Not the most Spanish of welcomes but I'm practicing my French as we're off to France for a few days. We're taking the kids to Disneyland (yes, I wanted to go too!). Still time to send out the newsletter though before I go.
We had a fantastic response to our call for volunteers last week for our experiment to see if we can get some properties sold for our members. We had over 400 responses so we're sifting through these to select 5 very different cases to work with. Should be interesting and fun. We'll let the "lucky" people know next week.
Anyway, we've got another great selection of articles this week. Susan looks at the "character building" aspects of living in Spain, a "Grumpy Gringo" has a bit of a rant and Maria tells us we can get a bank guarantee to protect our rental incomes in Spain.
Should be something for everyone today.

Spain is Character Building
Holidaying in Spain is VERY different to actually living here. Once you live in Spain life can really get your pulse going at times especially when you are late to pick your children up from a nursery and a bulldozer is blocking your path.
Susan (http://womeninspain.blogspot.com/)
believes instead of getting frustrated it should be seen as one huge learning opportunity.

Bank Guarantee When Renting
Our ever helpful lawyer, Maria de Castro, this week takes a look at the little known
facility of the bank guarantee when used as a security when renting your property
in Spain.

El Grumpy Gringo
Someone who could do with taking a leaf out of Susan's book above is "El Grumpy
Gringo". It seems things just get on his wick here! Have a read of El
Grumpy Gringo's rant and if you want more then we'll get some more rants for you:

Website of the week
The guys at Spanish Airport Guide website have now added "LIVE" flight arrival and departures information for EVERY airport in Spain. Its a really cool system (although no system is 100%!) and provides details of the expected departure and arrivals of all flights together with detailed information such as when the flights left the airport of origin. To find the arrivals and departures you simply go through to the airport of your choice on www.spanish-airport-guide.com and follow the links on the left for arrivals and departures, this will automatically provide you with the information that you require.
