Dear
EOS Member
Firstly let me start by saying sorry for not getting the newsletter out
last week, it's just that we've been hugely busy.
All the talk last week was about The Telegraph's
latest Spain scare story (they seem to enjoy these). If you
missed it it was about the fact that if your urbanisation does not have
a tourism licence then you are breaking the law if your rent your
property out.
The truth is that this law only applies to
Mallorca and some other Balearic islands, so most of you have nothing
to worry about. If you want to read all the comments about
this then read the forum discussion at: http://www.eyeonspain.com/forums/posts.aspx?thread=1225
On a separate note, the often controversial
Tonight with Trevor McDonald programme will be in Marbella filming a
property auction and talking to Inez from Direct Auctions.
Inez is using this opportunity to counteract a lot of the
recent nagativity about the Spanish property market. For more
information or to attend the auction please send an email to Inez at info@direct-auctions.com.
I will be attending myself...I'll be the one with the white
"Eye on Spain" baseball cap on trying to get in the way of the camera ;)
Hopefully see you at the auction. If you do go
come and say hi. Next week I'll be doing a podcast with Inez
about her contributions to the programme so you'll be able to get all
the low down before Trev tells you about it. How exclusive!
Anyway, let's move on with today's articles:

The
Future of British Children in Spain
One of the reasons why we moved to Spain was for the kids. We really
felt that they would have a much better quality of life growing up in
Spain. But will they actually suffer for it in later life?

article John Brewster gives some advice on how to go about buying that
berth for your yacht...if only!
