Eye on Spain Newsletter 13 May 2008

Buenos dias {!name}

Dear {!name}

I’m still working harder than I should be at the moment so we don’t have a full newsletter for you today….but we do have something really good for you!

Before I tell you about it I just wanted to mention that we have hit a small glitch with our new blog facility so we expect that to be up and running this week. Sorry for the delay.

Also, as we are desperately trying to finish our community website project there may not be a newsletter next week. We really want to concentrate on this and the blog facility.

Anyway, on with today’s gift for you….

Some friends of our who own an insurance business here in Spain have kindly put together a 25 page guide for you all about insurance in Spain.

If you live in Spain or are buying or already own a property in Spain then this guide is for you. It covers many aspects of home, car and life insurance in Spain. Here are just some of the topics covered:

  • What do I need to be covered for? What am I actually covered for?
  • Do I still need buildings cover if my community is insured?
  • What is contents cover? How do I calculate my contents?
  • If I have a burst pipe and the water floods my neighbour’s house, will I be covered?
  • If I am fully insured, can I drive somebody else’s car?
  • If I’m travelling between the UK and Spain- what health policy will cover me?
  • Do I have to take my insurance out with the bank where I have my mortgage?
  • Do I always have to pay an excess?
  • I am a tenant. Do I need home insurance?
  • Dealing with a car accident and making a claim

And there’s loads more.

There are some great tips included to even help you reduce your premiums!

You can download it now and understand insurance in Spain from the very people who work in the business.
