Buenos dias Yesterday morning I sat in front of the computer preparing the newsletter for today but after a couple of hours it just wasn't coming together. Something was playing on my mind.... If you've read my blog this week you'll know that last Thursday we had the AGM for our community here, of which I'm the president. It was a total nightmare! You can read about it here. It essentially ended (abruptly) with our administrator walking out on us (the second time this has happened in three years) because many of the owners felt our community fees are too high! No matter what I or the administrator said we couldn't seem to swing it to get people to understand that a community cannot survive without enough money in the kitty, and our kitty is currently rather under-nourished. So in my still annoyed state I came up with an idea.... I would like to demonstrate to the other owners that our fees are actually really low. I would like them to see what others pay for similar facilities. I thought I'd ask every Eye on Spain newsletter reader, who currently owns a property in Spain, to tell me about their current fees. I could then make this data public so that other communities could also use it to compare the relative costs of similar communities So today there's no standard newsletter... I didn't actually get around to finishing it because I started putting together the survey for what will be the first and only survey of community fees across Spain. I need your input to make it work! I need you to fill in the very quick survey for me to tell me about your fees and the facilities in your community. You can't imagine how valuable all this information will be and of course, I'll be sharing it with all of you next month. Now, let me offer you something in return!
