We need El Corte Ingles on the Costa Blanca North

I am a big fan of El Corte Ingles . I don't understand why there isn't one in the CB North near Denia or Benidorm. Alicante and Valencia have stores . I would have thought these towns would be ideal as they have a good mix of residents and holidaymakers. Anyone know if there are plans for an El Corte Ingles in the area ?

I wish we had one in Torrevieja

That would suit me. I could call in on my way from Murcia airport !

Even better, there is now a store in El Tiro, a new shopping centre on the outskirts of Murcia, which so far only seems to have El Corte Ingles and Hipercor. http://www.elcorteingles.es/corporativo/centros/murcia/esp/30d_severoochoa.asp.  We haven´t been there yet, as we normally get the bus into Murcia so the two stores in the centre are more convenient.

Morerosado - maybe the two of us could go there sometime on a shopping trip?!!!

There is (almost) a brand new one in Elche too !!  This is only a few months old and not far from the A7.  Me and my wife went there when it first opened.  We looked up and they were still putting the glass in the roof !!! Only in Spain !!

Enjoy your shopping !!!  My wife wishes there was an el Corte in Torrevieja.  There were strong rumours that one was going to be built and even reports in the papers but nothing ever materialised apart from Supercor at Playa Flamenca (Food Arm of El Corte).

Thanks for all the info. Looks like I will have to take a trip to Elche or  Murcia and dust off the credit card !

El Corte Ingles also have a store  in Cartagena, if you fancy a slight diversion when you leave the airport!
