I B I Taxes

Have just recieved my first IBI tax bill(462 eruos) after having a property in the Manilva area for 4 years. It seems that i am only being charged for this year unlike some people who are having theirs backdated.

I have missed the payment date as only visit a few times a year. Where do i go to to get the bill re issued ? and if i do will i have to pay for the last 3 years?

Also if i do not pay as i`m sure many people do not what are the consquences????

Any advise would be greatfully recieved.

 Dear Canaries,

When you bought a new construction property, it is normal that it takes so long to receive the first IBI tax bill. Normally they send the current year and the last 3 years in another bill. So that, you have to make the payment directly in your bank and at the same time make the direct debit for next years. 

For the bills you have to phone to: 952 89 00 65 and ask for Recaudación, they could send you by email the outstanding bill. Another phone to call is:   952029000.

If you do not pay this tax, they could seize any account you have or even the property.

Thanks for your info .Is it not possible to go in person to collect an updated bill?

Also heard if you do not pay they can put a charge on your property.

Has anyone been in this situation ?
