i use currencies direct to send a regular monthly amount to our solbank account no charges from currencies direct or solbank as they have a deal about it.normally get a current exchange rate.you can find them on the net and set up an account i found it helpful to ring them and go through it _______________________

Hi Helen
When I used Currencies Direct a good while ago they recommended using Solbank for my current account as at the time they did not levy a landing charge. I believe that since then other banks have dropped the landing fee, including Halifax España,so I agree with Shirederby that it's a good idea to speak with the broker to find out the best way to set up your accounts. Whilst the Halifax may be convenient for transferring holiday money from one's UK account, for substantial amounts you are almost certain to get a better exchange rate from a broker.
Have a look on the thread "Transferring Money to Spain" for more tips. _______________________
