Juzgados - Servicio Común - what is this communication?

Hi,

two of our neighbours have recently received the following letter from Juzgados de Orihuela:

En virtud de lo acordado por ests Servico SE CITA A USTED para que comparezca en la SALA DE NOTIFICACIONES de los juzgados de Orihuela, sita en Plaza Santa Lucia - Palacio de Justicia - 3. Planta, a fin de practicar la diligencia acordada an el expediente del S.C.A.C. arribal reseñado, debiendo presentar el presente documento

Debe comparecer en el siguiente Día y Hora:

Date and Time

No es imprescindible que sea persoanl, por lo que en caso de serle imposible comparecer podrá hacerlo un familiar que con usted conviva mayor de 14 años o un empleado en el caso de tratarse de una empresa.

Initially we though this may have been Jury Service - but  then thought perhaps it was to do with a denuncia but there is the option to send someone in your place ??

It's legalese spanish and so we have failed to translate it into any sense.

Does anyone know for sure what this is? And before anyone says go along and see - the dates are a few months away yet.

any help appreciated before we spend money with a lawyer !

I would need to see the actual document to be completely sure but it seems thet are  trying to serve to you a judicial notice such as a lawsuit or related.

There is no other information except for an illegible 4 digit reference number. There is no mention of anything specific which is why we can't tanslate it - there are no clues as to what it's about. My Previous post is the entire contents of the communication.

It's headed with Juzgados de ORIHUELA, Servicio Común de Actos de Comunicación.

And a scribbled signature appears under EL FUNCIONARIO ACTUANTE
