pool safety

i have a pool side apartment on complex in tenerife other residents, instead of paying for safety barriers want to block off my poolside access gate and build up myy balcony wall to chest high any advice available

If you are within a community, you will have to ask permission form your committee to do this.

It may not be allowed in their rules.

fibbyuk sorry didnt explain myself properly,it is the residence committee who want to block my poolside access etc rather than pay for safety barrier . this will ruin my enjoyment of being to accsss pool and my views of sea etc  have i got any right to object

Well if I was you, yes I would object, and get as many votes on your side to.

If they are making a change to YOUR property, surely that's not allowed?

However, if it is in a communial area, I would have thought that all owners have to vote for/against it.

Put your case forward and get as many backers as you can.
