Can we have a 'quote' feature please on EOS ?

In other forums there's often a 'quote' facility so we can answer or comment on a particular post.

On EOS, with having no such facility, we cannnot do this  This means it's not obvious who we're responding to on occasions which often complicates threads.

So, any chance of this being implemented, please ?

I cut & paste and then highlight the "quote"  by changing the background colour. I also write:  ??? wrote.
