Motels near Santander

Hi,

Has anyone travelled from murcia area to the Ferry Port at Santander,who can recommend a hotel or motel with secure car parking close to Santander. As i am shortly going to make the journey and as i will have quite a few possesions in the car,i want it to be safe over night.It is surprising how many hotels don't have on site parking.

Greatful for any help or advise.

There's an Etap (and adjoining IBIS if you want to spend a bit more for the same thing) at Bilbao, which is not too far from Santander. Secure parking for both, plus a god-awful restaurant.

Hi,

We stayed once at Hotel Bahia just in front of the port. And last year we stayed at La Mexicana and we used one of the underground car parks. There are a few in the area.

Many thanks for that, car is going to be full of my belongins so dont want to leave it too far from where we end up stopping.
