Transfer Mortgage

Hi all,

We are getting more people asking about transfering a mortgage from the seller to the buyer.

With it becoming harder to get a mortage in Spain, then is this something that can happen, I have heard of it before, but never thought anymore about it,

is it something that can be done

is it easlily done

Hi Dave - yes this is done quite often in Spain.  I have clients who did this when they bought their property initially and they are offering a further transfer if any buyer wants this.  I think it is relatively straighforward as long as the buyer will qualify for the loan in terms of their income.   

You should contact Smiley on the forum as he is a mortgage broker - he should be able to give you chapter and verse.
