Private messages HELP PLEASE!!!

Does anyone know how long I need to wait to get my PM's activated? I have asked Justin,posted in the PM activation forum etc. and made almost 20 posts and still nothing?!?!

I have lots of messages waiting for me and it is so frustrating that I can't read them!

Does anyone have any idea what I should do next as apart from this I have found this site,and the people here so friendly and helpful and it's nice to be able to exchange thoughts and tips with eachother but I feel that my needs as a user (who logs on here every day) are being ignored.

It should be 10 posts until you can receive pm's. Might be worthwhile giving Justin a nudge when you next see him online with the "Hava a chat with Justin now" link. There is also a thread somewhere about this subject where people post when wanting their pm's activated. As Justin has already replied, he will get an email when any new reply is added which may make him look quicker than trawling through the forum.

You normally have needed to post 10 times. Seems odd yours is still blocked.

Justin, I'm confused!  I received a PM from a member who, at the time, had only posted a few times, but was able to PM me - to which I responded, but haven't had an acknowledgment (maybe they didn't receive my response?  Or just chose not to acknoweldge it).  Anyway, have just noticed someone else, on the rentals thread, apologising for not being able to respond to PMs  as their facilitty hasn't been activated and they are already at ten posts!!   Confused!!??

The PM facility is activated after someone requests to use it and we feel they are going to use it properly and not to spam.  It helps if they've already made some posts sow we can see.

We had many PM spam problems which is why we introduced this measure.
