We were with Telmicro,arrived today switched on digibox and found 36 channels,one was from Simulsat,they want us to register,giving digibox card number and charge 20e per month.

My question is ´'if we do not register do they have the technology to switch us off or scramble our signal,without our card no.'¿

Welcome carsafe.

Simple answer is they are doing just that ! (Switching off the original Telmicro channels that is & scrambling theirs. People had theirs for a taster, free for a couple of months or so).

Freeview is just that, freeview. We had to mess around with our cables though to get freeview as Telmicro had taken off the 6 Spanish channels we originally had. We have a Spanish digibox ourselves.

Hi there if I was you just wait until it gets turned off they have been making false deadlines since October first was going off end Nov then 100% was going off before Xmas if you did not register with them then definatly definatly end of Jan 09 was the last date to register before cut off we have had our signal free since Telemicro went off air they cannot scramble the signal until all the customers have the new digital equipment which as far as I know is still quite some way off .
