Hi

We have some land for sale in Costa Tropical that is classified as intensive wet land and our Spanish lawyer informs us that we should be very happy as this is very rare prime building land for this area.

The local laws require 2500M2 of land to build upto 150M2 of property legally.  We have 2 plots at 3500M2.

We have heard quite a lot of different views on the length of time it takes to get the necessary licenses etc, from 6 months to years and years.

Anything involving paperwork etc takes time in Spain fair enough but we would expect maybe 8 months to a year would be a reasonable amount of time providing architects drawings were submitted correctly and it was within the legal requirements.

Has anyone had experience of this process and or can shed some light on this issue please. I have read through some lengthy threads on this site but they do not give a clear answer to this question
