Calpe at Christmas

Hi Everyone,

Just purchasing a villa in Calpe.  Should be ours within a couple of weeks.

Thinking of coming over to set it up on the week after Christmas.

Are all the shops/restaurants open Boxing Day (our arrival day)?  

Other half is extremely worried about the lack of central heating Doh! ... it has gas heaters but we do not know if they have any gas!  Can we buy gas easily on Boxing day if need be and any ideas where from (in Calpe)?

Is it going to be cold at night?

What happens on new years eve in Calpe?  Do we get fireworks etc.  Where is the place to be?

Any advice gratefully received as we are complete novices at all this!

You can buy gas in almost all service stations

Calpe will be very cold Xmas and New year I know as I have spent almost every Xmas and New Year there fot the last 25 years but it is still a wonderful place , quite a lot of places will be open a very good restuarant to go to is just outside on the way to altea called La Bruscheta it is just as you turn off to the AP7 expensive but wonderful food , hope you have strong legs for the street climbing
