Does anyone know what this is and if so, does it in any way guarantee or protect monies paid to a developer for an off-plan contract?   They are offering to give me this in place of a Bank Guarantee.  I believe it will be signed by the developer in front of a notary.  Do  I need to be particularly careful of  the  wording used in it?  Thanks for your assistance.

Poliza de AFIANZAMIENTO  de cantidades entregadas a cuenta is  an insurance policy equivalent to Bank Guarantee 57/68.
Just check if  you are the guaranteed person , if it covers the whole deposit plus legal interests and ha no expiration deadline.
