Selling a business in tenerife

Hi i'm terry and i'm half of a chelmsford couple just moved to Tenerife.
We are looking to buy in to a business perhaps being run by another couple who want to take it a little easier.
the plan would be each couple would work 3 or 4 days a week each.  don't need to make a killing just a living.
when i have surgested it to people I get a lot of sucking of teeth and tutting. 
Can you guys see whats wrong with the idea?
