Hi everyone

My name is Sheena and with my husband, Alan, we have spent the last 3 years trying to get our builders and all involved to complete our house near Barranda, near Caravaca de la Cruz. No mean feat when we're in the UK, speak very little Spanish and the builders don't speak any English, with a project manager supposed to be acting in our interests who has disappeared on the horizon with his share of the proceeds!

We signed for the house in February, still don't have the certificate of habitation, so no water or electricity, and have a snagging list as long as my arm. I am struggling to get the builder to come back and sort out the snagging, but feel that eventually, we may have to draw a line under it and get someone else in to finish off.

I wanted to ask does anyone have any contacts in the trades for general building, plumbing or electricians that are either english-speaking or ex-pat in the Caravaca area.

I just want to put the bad stuff behind me and get on with enjoying our home in Spain! Look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks

Thanks to all who have replied. I am still in discussion with the builders...they have fixed some of the snags but we still have a few things to be resolved. We are back out in November when he assures me all will be finished (if I had a euro for every time they had said that...). However, all contacts gratefully received as I'm sure we will never see them again after November.

Best wishes
Sheena
