All,
I have read all the threads regarding Healthcare with great interest and through it's importance I feel I have a responsibility to pass this information through to my clients who are currently purchasing in Spain.
Would somebody be willing to assist in overviewing exactly where Healthcare stands in Spain, your expectations and the realities as ex-pats Obviously in the UK the presumption is everyone goes to Spain to receive immediate Healthcare and jump the UK queues but I doubt this is really the situation, especially for actual residents (which we will be) and if you take Trevor McDonald's programme into consideration.

Fantastic, anything you have would be an extremely useful help.
Rixxy is assisiting (did you get my email addy??) with her interpretation of what Healthcare delivers in Spain but always good to have a comparison.

Hello Darren,
If you would like to send me your postal address, I will send you a copy of a document we were given by our
local Ajuntament. It details quite well how you go about getting you health card and what you can expect from
your health care unit / hospital.
I will also write up my own experiance re. getting our cards and help received with a broken arm!
(I would email it to you, but our scanner has a mind of it's own, I think the elastic band may have broken!)
