Well looking at the info on this if 1500 brits are caught up in illegal builds and demolitions, then it is going to TOTALLY ruin the market for a number of years until the dust settles!

A bit of calm......

So far, the developers are required to compensate to Marbella ayto with land close to where the ilegal builds or excess of building were made and negotiations are going on as the papers say..... I personally see little possibility of knokc down properties of "good faith buyers" as permits were issued, taxes collected and it would create a diplomatic problem of great scale...... a lot of the buyers are foreigners...

I will try to find some "news articles" from the local press ( I think there was one on the last Sur In English).

The only way programs like this will have any effect is the developers who built these places illegally are named & shamed. From  personal experience, this doesn't happen...they gloss over the top!!
