Furniture Delivery

I realise that Christmas isn't celebrated at the same time as us in the UK, but I read another post from Rixxy earlier saying they close next Friday until 7th January. Is that the same for most shops (Vera or nearby)? We are going out next week and need to buy a few small things for the apartment (TV, clothes airer, etc). It's a lot to get in a couple of days, so i'm hoping that the larger stores will still be open?

Nope - all normal shops will be open - I am not a shop front, work from a 1st floor office so not deaing with the general public!! Many agents are going to be closed as no one is interested in either showing or being shown property - plus its harder to get appointments on xmas day!!! (yes I have been asked to try in the past!)

Actual closing days will PROBABLY be half the 24th or all 24th, 25th, half 31st and 1st and 6th/7th of jan!
