Hi

Anyone clarify if the old rule still applies to hand luggage re electricals. Is it possible to take hair straighteners in hand luggage or do they need to still go into case? Thanks.

You & your luggage, Gina  Never did find out about our ham sarnies, did we ?

I looked in Google just cos we're mates as I'm now not doing it for others. Saw this.. nothing new ...

http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/planning-and-information/before-you-travel/hand-baggage-restrictions.aspx Go look

items permitted in your cabin baggage

you can take the following in your one cabin bag, as previously in place:

  • electrical equipment including laptops, mobile phones, MP3 players, portable music and DVD players, digital and film cameras, video cameras – all larger electrical equipment will need to be removed from your cabin baggage and x-ray screened separately
  •

From http://www.bristol-airport-guide.co.uk/security.html

Laptops and other large electrical items (e.g. a large hairdryer) have to be removed from cabin baggage and screened separately.

Taken from http://www.cardiff-airport-guide.co.uk/security.html

Laptops and other large electrical items (e.g. a large hairdryer) have to be removed from cabin baggage and screened separately.

Sure you'll be fine.
