I am completing on new property next week and my solicitor is asking  for  2160 euros transfer tax in the fees, can anyone tell me what this is?

It sounds like the 7% tax when you take over a private purchase contract from the original buyer. Without more info it would be a ittle difficult to be exact.

ITS A NEW BUILD AND WE PURCHASED OFF PLAN IN LOMAS DE ROLDAN. WOULD IT BE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE SALE OF OUR PREVIOUS PROPERTY? HAD BUDGETED FOR EVERTHING ELSE, LEGAL FEES, NOTARY FEES, PROPERTY TAX, LAND REGISTRY, VAT AND CONTRACTING OF SERVICES (WATER AND ELECTRIC).
