Moving to Fortuna

 

We are moving to Fortuna next year and it looks as though we may be bringing our 9 year old grandson with us.  Can anyone out there give us some general information about schooling in Spain and/or information about schools in the Fortuna catchment area.  Haven't had much success searching on the net.

 

Hi there, Im not sure what schools are in Fortuna themselves, but I do know their is a International School in Alicante called British International School, two in Murcia and possibly one in Elche. All fo the International school have bus services for their students, in all areas.

We are moving to Las Kalendas just outside Fortuna.  We weren't expecting to have to look for schools at our age.  It's all been a bit of a shock!

go to "buscador" select Murcia and change "localidad" to Fortuna.  This is the selection which it brings up....

Have you registered with your development forum yet  Las Kalendas , you may find you get help in there with more "local" info. Friends of ours are having a villa built there too.

Hi Derek, no, not yet, but once our friends move in permanently, we shall go see them when we're over in Spain. Currently their place is not built, think Paul said it had been delayed from Feb 08 to Nov 08.

Blimey,  as far as I can make out ours is on time, in our contract if the build is over three months late you due to be compensated, I think the compensation rate is 6 percent of cost per month

Hi derek on that basis i think procumasa will be paying me soon now 11 months late, i must admit they have agreed to put all the snags right and i understand from other forum members that they have started doing them.

Why not continue this thread on the Las Kalendas off plan development forum?

We know that Procumasa monitors the comments made there and you can communicate with those of us with local interests
