Cheque made out to me in sterling can i put it in my spanish account

If i get a cheque made out to me in uk can i take it too spain and deposit in my account

Yes. but it could take up to 6 weeks to clear depending on the bank.  Plus most Spanish banks charge a commission (my last one for £2000 had €10 charged).  You should get the commercial rate as opposed to the tourist rate (plus side) but if they make no charges, ensure the rate is not lower by, possibly, 1 cent.
