The thread notifications are not working very well at the moment.If you join a thread you will be sent a notification about the comment before yours, notifications should be for comments after yours

What happened to you was, you posted on the smart meter thread at 13-27 after Carl had posted at 13-02, you then got a notification that Carl had posted but of course you knew that, you had answered him - something needs tweaking
