having read the posts on this and one one or two other site, I'm beginning to have reservations about the purchase I started through palmera properties almost 4 long years ago. are there any palmera clients who have had a reasonable experience in the purchase of a home in Spain? for that matter anyone at all had a smooth transaction of any kind in Spain? I do hope there are at least a handful that can give me some hope for my intended retirement home going through without me having to pay for stress counseling.

I wouldn't despair too much.  People only generally comment on negative experiences and not the positive ones.  We did a survey recently of our members and found that around 75% of people were generally quite happy with the purchase of a property in Spain.  I am sure many people could tell you about their positive experiences.

Hi Haydngj, I also started to buy an apartment from Palmera Properties about 4 years ago, then when there was a hint of a problem with the infamous builders  they washed their hands of me. I would seriously like to sue them for the return of the money I have paid them. Does anybody else know how to go about this ( without costing the earth and putting me in an early grave? Regards W.A.Anderson

Hi Haydngi. We are hoping to complete on Los Olivos Huerta Nueva Los Gallardos ,near Mojacar, on Dec 31 .So far all O.K.After reading the various horror stories for 18 months i,m hoping that ours are not going tostart We bought via Parador who like all the other agents, have their severe critics, but in their owners club we,ve had ,so far ,no complaints. My heart goes out to the numerous people who through no fault of their own , now find their hopes dreams&life,s savings in jeopardy.Despite a number of spiteful , soured cynics who state that the motive was greed, most people did the right thing with solicitors, hoping for a different &better way of life .I hope you manage to resolve everything sooner rather than later.

Incidentally we share the same unusual Christian name.I was born  bred & went to grammar school in North Manchester before i moved to Stockport in my late teens many moons ago I was named after an uncle in Harpurhey.

Once again best wishes  Haydn & ( Judy ).
