I dont know what everybody thinks but these promises off airports and paramount studios seem to be a long time coming. You speak to the estate agents as you are interested in purchasing property and they make these things big selling points, these type of promises have been going on in spain for years same old bull about airports etc, its a pity that you could not sue the ar?? of these people selling the property for giving bull crap non factual info we may get nearer the truth and could make a good decision, My advice to anyone buying in spain is this, if you base you purchase on the sales pitch of airports being built and the like you will make the wrong decision, base it on what is there at the time, condition of the property upkeep etc, and then make your offer , its a buyers market, on saying all this i am sure there are some good sellers there just be carefull.

I think that we now all just live with all the silly claims of the property industry and the constant need to ‘talk the job up’. The truth of the matter is that a few houses are selling but in the big picture it is a drop in the ocean and the expats certainly are not ‘flocking to Spain’ to snatch up all the bargains.

The Paramount park is, we are assured opening in summer 2015 and will change Murcia forever. Problem is - no funders are interested in the scheme and Premursa do not own all the land yet, therefore no detailed planning permission has been granted for the project. Now considering that Paramount is the 11th leisure park to be announced in the last few years in Spain and not one has been built, the chances of Paramount being completed are fairly remote at the moment.  Corvera airport  is just one of three new airports built but not open and until the EU make a decision on the re-financing package it will stay that way and if St Javier is to close, why have the parking & security contracts been renewed?

What happened to the plans to redevelop Cartagena into an international cruise port to compliment the new Covera airport and Paramount leisure facilities?

The Spanish government need a reality check, the ECB need to devalue the Euro and Spain needs new open enforceable legislation concerning foreign investment in this country and all lawyers and estate agents should be governed by a professional body, hold full PI insurances and be accountable for their actions....... then we may see some light at the end of a very long tunnel.

But surely - they built the airports as promised - - - - - - they never actually promised to OPEN them!!!

But then - this IS Spain!
