Big Ben

It has been reported today that they are going to change the clockface on Big Ben to digital. They are also going to remove the bells and put in a recording of them. This is being done as a way of saving money because of the age of the mechanism which is begining to show signs of metal fatigue.
My question is if they take away the bell (Big Ben) will they still call the clock Big Ben or will they have to give it a new name.
