Returning hired car with too much fuel

Hi, We grudge returning a car with more than a quarter tank of fuel after paying an inflated price on arrival.  We'd happily stop off close to the airport for a local charity/ entrepreneur to syphon off most of it.

The bloke next to us paid 140 euros for his Full tank of petrol

Bet he wished he had a VW Polo then, thats about 24 ish gallons..isn't it?

I am aware of at least one car hire website that shows the fuel policy before you book and the prices are competitive. Just pick one with a Full/Full policy.

Thankfully we only had a Vauxhall Corsa

(45 litre tank)     x 1.28euros per litre  = 57.60 euros    Fee for full tank  = 70 euros  Initial Profit  12.40 euros

We returned it grudgingly with 12 litres still in tank worth 15.36e         Secondary Profit              15.36euros

 Profit on fuel for one week's small hire car                                                                         27.76euros

Any local organisation willing to syphon surplus and donate to charity? Could be worth thousands per week.
