Hi, At the risk of being a complete idiot I would appreciate some help please.

I am trying to research IPTV and then came across connecting to iplayer. This then took me to getting a VPN.

I have a fast internet connection and had in mind a set top box plus monthly subs to get uk tv plus movies and anything else that maybe going; such as "catch-up".

I don`t know which route to take in order to aquire as many chanells as possible with the least fuss.

Would a kind person please explain the difference between IPTV and iplayer witha VPN. thanks

I dont know a great deal about it but i would look into buying an android box with xbmc pre loaded. You can get them on e bay. I bought one for my daughter and she can get movies sports(which she doesnt want) plus all sort of channels. I had superb after sales service from the company i bought from. Try doing a search on eBay for quad core android box with xbmc. Some of the adverts set it sll up for you and i would suggest you buy from there.

Hi Nigela, thanks very much for the info. Having read your link it makes me wonder why I was thinking of spending €200 to €400 on a set top box plus monthly subs for IPTV. May I please ask from whom you purchased; there is nothing as good as recommendation..Thank you once again.

The firm i used was digital-binary on ebay. They sell several different sorts of android boxes. I did have a bit of a problem when i set it up but their after sales service was excellent.
