I have to meet someone next week on the church steps in the plaza in the centre of Torrevieja, is this easy to find? I am travelling from San Miguel de Salenas.

Any help appreciated

Brian

Thanks for that but if you don't know where the plaza in the centre of Torrevieja is it doesn't help.

Thanks anyway

Park in the carpark by the port.  Follow the signs for Puerto.  When you come to the sea front, the lanes on the road are marked Playas and Parking.  Keep to the right for Parking.  Walk back to to the paseo, then take any street away from the sea to the next main street.  Turn left and keep walking until you see the church on the plaza on the right hand side.  It's huge and you can't miss it.

Cheers Bobaoi, appreciated

Should have asked this before but is the Halifax Banco Hispania near there as well?

Go past the church to the end of the road.  Turn right up Calle de Orihuela.  Where the road ends and joins on to a dual carriageway (about 1/2 mile up) carry on up that road (which leads to the Carrefour) about another 3 or 400 metres and you will see a Bankinter on the left hand side.  Halifax España is next door to it.

Alternatively, if you're driving, come back up the paseo and turn right just past the underground parking area.  You are then in Calle de Orihuela but parking by the Halifax is hit and miss.

There is another branch in the Playa Flamenca area.  Follow the N332 out of town (towards Cartagena) and the Halifax is on the right hand side of the main road in Playa Flamenca.

Thanks Bobaoi

Should be able to find our way round now. We are completing in a couple of weeks and meeting our solicitor in Torrevieja.

Brian.

GuiaCampsa is good for planning routes in Spain and has a streetfinder (Callejeros).  The Church in Torrevieja is in the Plaza de la Constitución.

http://www.guiacampsa.com/gcampsa/Ruta/Mapa/Mapa/Fmapa.aspx?comando=ENF&x=703494&y=4205877&r=200

The link is slow to load and you can zoom in further for more detail.  The red pin marks the plaza!

Diane
