Cede the Rights
| The Comments |
Hi All
Came across this expression, apparently from a bank to a customer re his Spanish property. I have searched the internet but cannot find any meaning that makes sense.
Anyone able to assist me with the correct and/or legal meaning and consequences. Should there be some paperwork to go along with it
Cheers
Eoin

the phrase in Spanish is "ceder los derechos", The Bank seems to have translated it to "cede the rights" probably by using Google Translate or a similar one.
This phrase means transfer of rights. It could be ownership, right to use as in a lease, rights to receiving funds as in transfers of credits, the actual rights transferred would depend on the wording that comes after "ceder los derechos". If you could provide the complete phrase or paragraph, perhaps we could be of more help.
