General strike thursday

 Theyve only just voted in a new govt but now the peasants are revolting against the austerity measures so the general strike means many places shut thursday.

On friday its dollies day in cartagena( the patron saint of los dolores) so they will be on holiday again!

Dont you just love the spanish way of life- fiesta,siesta, manana and now strikes!

Surely the Estate agents selling Utopia didnt actually believe in their own hype.

 suits me why work when you can just enjoy life in the sunshine??

Here in Madrid the impact seems very slight. Public transport, including the airport, are affected with limited services operational, but the rush hour on the roads is at least as busy as normal and private businesses seem to be oeprating as standard.

I didn't think I was going to be affected at all by the strike but after dropping the kids off at school I drove down to my favourite coffee shop and it was closed!

Gutted doesn't even come close
