What can I do when someone is advertising their apartment with owners direct and using photos of my terrace, I am furious, I have sent them an email telling them and asking them to change it.

Are you sure it's your terrace?  Most of them look the same to me.  Why would you object to this so much, are you on the terrace in the nude?  Seems innocent enough to me to use a library photo.

Yes it is my terrace, on our complex there is a variety of small medium and large terraces, mine is a very large terrace, I am not happy when someone advertises  their apartment and it isn't even their terrace. Our views are amazing and we paid extra to have these views.

 Maureen, have you complained directly to Owners Direct website?  (As opposed to the advertisers.)  It's basically misrepresentation at the least, so they should be forced to remove the photos if they are of your apartment and not the apartment advertised.  

I think I must be missing something.  What's the big deal if the wrong photo has been used.  The sellers or the buyers aren't stealing the views you paid for are they?

 Yes, maybe you are missing something - if someone is using a false picture to advertise their 'rental' property (not a sale) then it must surely be a problem!!  If you were to rent an apartment for a vacation and turned up to find out that the terrace was half the size of that advertised and did not offer the same views, then I think you would be pretty peeved (I know I would).  It's blatant misrepresentation at the least if they are using someone else's image showing someone else's property!!  Let alone the fact they are using your image without permission!

Going to ring owners direct in the morning, emailed them but had no response, and like you Jan I would not be happy if I booked an apartment because they had a nice terrace then got there and it was a different terrace.  It wasn't the view you can see, it's just my terrace with my table all set with all my crockery and vases etc.
