Extra Buzon for the Correos?

As President I have been changing a few things in our Community, using my labour (gratis) to keep the costs down.

My latest job is replacing the ageing rusty broken buzones.

I was advised by a retailer that we would require an extra buzon, for use by the Correos.

I bought them elsewhere as it happens (same boxes but half the price direct from the makers), and I did indeed get one extra, (we have always had one extra anyway, because the 5 x 4 line up looks beter).

But what do the Correos want one for? Do they need a key? Or was I told a porky?

Anyone know?

We have 184 post boxes for the Urb and another which has Community written on it. We were told years ago that this was for the post office, however it is never used by the post office!

All that happens is members of the Community put post into it ( usually with no stamp ) and I assume they expect it to be posted!

If they put their address on the back the post is put back into their own box and on odd occasions the unstamped post has been put in the post box at the Correos................there really is no other option except to destroy the mail and you cannot do that!
