Terminally ill

Hi, my aunty has lived on the Costa del Sol for over 25 years .. she is now 77 years old. She is terminally ill with cancer close to her brain, and lives on her own. We visit every day to change her dressings as she is now suffering ulcers and sores on  her skin. Are there no district nurses or Mcmillan type help she can get here in Spain? We want her to come and live with us but she is trying to cling on to her independence.

Any advice would be much appreciated,

 Are you in contact with the local Social services?

Not sure how to go about it although obviously she is covered. Who should I call?

You might want to consider contacting Cudeca who may operate in the part of the Costa del Sol that you are in. They have a wonderful reputation for the care and help that they give. I can't post a web address but Google cudeca and it will take you to their site.

I have been affected by cancer earlier this year i was totally lost out here in spain.

I am on the costa blanca but i no that there is help out there.

 A terrible thing to happen and I am sorry for the anxiety you must be going through.  As already mentioned, try contacting Cudeca which is in Benalmadena.  Phone number is  952 564 910.  If you are outside their area, I'm sure they will be able to put you in touch with an organisation that does.
