Furniture Packages or buy individual items?

We are moving to Laguna Green in December 07/January08 and seek advice on purchasing Furniture Packs or buying items separately.

We bought most of our big stuff fron Garcia's. Probably cost a bit (but not much) more than buying a package, but it meant we could pick and choose what we wanted. The service we recieved was better than excellent! Sales people (especially Manuel) couldn't have been more helpful and less pushy and they delivered exactly when we agreed - in fact, they were five minutes early! The driver and his mate unpacked everything and assembled all the flat pack furniture. They connected the electrical apliances and even ran a test cycle on the dishwasher! Then they took away all the rubbish as well!  In all, they were with us for over four hours - all included in the already very reasonable prices. Of course, they appreciated a decent tip and it was certainly worth every cent. Cannot recommend Garcias highly enough.

Thank you Steve for your excellent advice,we have visited Garcias in early May and was also impressed.We will probably purchase our large items there.We will either take smaller items with us or buy locally when we move to Spain in December.

we have bought on laguna green, signed in february. we bought a lot of our furniture from Muebles gea which is just the other side of montesinos from laguna green. you go stright through montesinos and it is on the right hand side. you can buy individual pieces or they do packages too. they were great we even had stuff delivered before we had payed for it. If you go ask for Isabel and tell her Yvonne from 54 Laguna sent you.  Everything is fitted and cleaned away the boys even put up some heaters in the bathroom for us that we had bought from carrefour and they wouldn't take any money for it. Garcias is also good I bought a bathroom cabinet from there.  We bought our sofas from sofas muebles on the crevellente road going into torrevieja, it looks a bit shabby but our sofas are brilliant and were a lot cheaper than other places. Thanks for the information,this message board is proving to be very useful.

We will have a look at the places you suggested when we are over next time.

We are having a bungalow built on phase 3, plot 48 which hopefully will be ready in December (ish! ).
