My wife is disabled rated at 2/ll.
As at 23 August 2011 it is now 485 days since we applied to Social Services for assistance in the provision of third party help, as neither my wife nor I can undertake all necessary tasks associated with my wife. We have a live-in helper for whom we have to pay
I get the impression that they are deliberately dragging their feet in order to save the Valencian debt load on our own! Over time we have gone through several interviews and provided answers to all questions asked. The last comment from the local SS clerk was "if you don't hear from Valencia by October, give me a ring". A familiar comment!
Can anyone help me with details of the legal time scale to which they can stretch, the amount of financial help which is available, and the date from which any resources would be provided (date of first application, hopefully!)
We have been resident in Spain since 1996. We are well past the age of retirement.
