Anyone got any ideas for furnishing in this area? have brochures for Muebles Sanchez &  Muebles Gea, both good priced packages, but would appreciate a bit more choice? or is that too much to ask in the area? would appreciate any input!!

My apologies for spelling Guardamar wrongly? don't know how to cange it?

Not too far away from you, there are several furniture stores who will kit you out partially or completely.

Torrevieja - Hnos Garcia and Muebles La Factoria also Arca.  Hnos Garcia are just up the road from Carrefour heading into Torrevieja.  Service and prices are excellent and will deliver (free).  The also have a shop on the old Torrevieja/Alicante road.  Opposite that store is La Factoria and can highly recommend them.  Going to this shop you can park up and visit a couple of stores on same side and across the road.  Arca specialise in full fits and have packages depending on the size of the property.  Their basic package is just that, basic, but you can swap and change.  Also do the full white goods and stove package including fitting.  They will also do your lights and other fittings.  We got the 2 bed package and it is good enough for holidays but we had to get rid of the sofa settee (too uncomfortable to even sit on, let alone sleep) and got a good quality cotttage suite from La Factoria at an excellent price and free delivery.  Arca also sold us everything we need in a pack including cooker, pots and pans, plates, kfs, toaster, kettle, every type of glass you can mention, water jug, iron, ironing board, cruet set etc etc etc for around €450 provided you take their furniture package (we got the furniture free as part of the moving in but still got the pack for the same price).  They were also excellent (and quick) at fitting the lights and cooker.  I know they deliver to La Marina because someone else buying were from there.

One of the towns near Quesada (can't remember the name of the town but I'm sure someone will jump in) has a glut of furniture stores all providing full packages and made to order furniture.  Wish I could remember the name of the town but it's close to Quesada/Rojales.  All the one we looked at did free delivery.  Bought the cottage suite on a Saturday morning and they were there first thing Monday.

Not sure if La Factoria did the white goods, though.

Answer is .. Between Almoradi & Dolores the road's chocka with muebles (furniture stores) Don't forget though many close between 2 & 5 for siesta, some close 1.30pm - 4.30pm. (Usually three hours anyway.)

Thanks a million for the replies, wondered what Muebles was? have the answer now !  have print keyed your replies, but will have to check out the area as have no idea where carrefours is? we basically drove from the Mar Menor to La Marina? saw one in Los Alcazares ? in April when we purchased, but previous to that was in Doha, Qatar?  and the meat was a LOT cheaper in Qatar? , but anyway, would appreciate all information or websites so I can look around when I go back.

Really appreciate all the help and advice I've had on this site and hopefully down the line I will be in a position to maybe help others too?

Its strange, but I have taken on board what is suggested, but even after buying off plan nearly 3 years ago and nothing to look at!! who walked into this house with their eyes wide shut?? ha!ha! not me!! but the other half, deal done in 30 minutes flat !! needless to say, as he works abroad and all finances are my dept, I have it all to sort, plus getting the developers to move walls ha!ha! and kitchens are miniscule? granted paid to reform it, but would have liked to have been there to show them what reform is?? So when we live there we'll have to move units again ha!ha!, .

Anyway thats an insight to moving?
