To Justin: Possible virus or a false positive?

Hi Justin,

I am receiving a message from my anti-viris software whenever I log on to, or change pages in eyeonspain. I am using F-Secure and the message is "Malicious code found in file C:\Documents adn Settings..." down to Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\73SKWNIG\googleapis.client__plusone[1].js. Possible some javascript issue?

It looks like your Anti virus doesn't like the Google +1 button that you can see above!

Very odd.  It's Google's own code so can't see why there would be an issue.

I'll do some checks and see what may be causing you to get this message.

It's interesting that IE7 doesn't display the error message. (Same Anti-Virus). But IE8 does. Also I can't see the Google +1 button on either IE7 or IE8.

I can't see the Google+1 button. Am I missing something? Could it be a firewall setting?

The Google +1 button is in the pink bar at the top, it's the one on the right.

Checking some geek forums it is just a false positive, so nothing to worry about.

Can't imagine Google would be distributing viruses around!!

maybe put it on every post in the new sexy profile bar with the sexy stars so each post can be plus oned?

Yes, that one.  I assume you can't see the Google +1 button as your anti virus is probably blocking it.

I've never heard of F-Secure, I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my anti virus which is free and very good!

mr fish i am having exactly the same problem. f-secure, googleplusone  supposed virus. if you could post how you fixed the problem i would greatly appreiciate it.

Hi steveouk, I haven't actually been able to fix it. I'm waiting for F-Secure to update their virus signatures as it isn't really a virus, just a slight nusiance.mI'm surprised they haven't foxed it already seeing as Google is quite a well known company
