I have read an article today about the local elections with many expats standing for office
My concern from the tone of the feaure is the crime in the area with places being over populated with brits who do not want to mingle with the spaniards
Can you put some light on the subject

Have not read the article in the daily mail yet - but please do not be too alarmed, this newspaper for some reason or other is continuously being negative about anything good anywhere in the world but the UK. If there are rumours to be started in the UK about purchasing property abroad, living abroad, medical care abroad etc etc etcyou can guarantee it'll be the daily mail that starts it all off.

I read the articel, the main urb they talked about was La Marina, and yes, it is the biggest urb of it's kind in Europe.
I have heard good and bad about that urb, but not all Spain is the same.
Please don't be put off by scaremonger stories.
