Scraping a Vehicle in Majorca

I have a problem with a car which my late father left in Majorca when he was taken ill last year, the vehicle has now been parked in the same place for over one year and we need to dispose of the vehicle as it is not worth bringing the vehicle all the way back to the UK to sell becaues the value is only £500/600.
Can I scrap vehicle in Majorca, Spain and if so how do I go about this as the local police have already taken the registration plate off of car.

WHY NOT REMOVE THE VIN PLATE AND LEAVE IT AFTER ALL THE POICE HAVE MADE IT ILLEGAL TO DRIVE SO LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVE MADE IT THEIR PROBLEM
